+A walking program is offered at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays in the Multipurpose Room at St. Michael Parish, followed by Weight Watchers at 6:30 p.m. New members are always welcomed.

+The Cathedral Sacred Arts Series will host The Rose Ensemble Sat., April 2nd at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rose Ensemble will present a concert entitled “Slavic Wonders: Feasts and Saints in Early Russia, Poland, and Bohemia.” Tickets are $30/$20/$10 online at www.sfcatholic.org/SAS or at the St. Joseph Cathedral Parish Office (336-7390).

+O'Gorman's Performing Arts Center and the Washington Pavilion have partnered to bring a series of fresh, funny and affordable events to the community. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated directly to Sioux Falls Catholic Schools. The first show is a fresh and funny salute to Americana, “The Wonder Bread Years,” starring Pat Hazell (former “Seinfeld” writer) on Saturday, April 2nd at 7 p.m. in the O’GHS Performing Arts Center. It's a fast-paced, hilarious production that gracefully walks the line between stand-up and theater. From sitting at the kids table to riding in the way back of the Country Squire Wagon, “The Wonder Bread Years” is a comic bull’s-eye for baby boomers everywhere. All tickets are under $30! +The Sioux Falls Catholic Schools present the 15th Annual Shamrock Run and the 8th Annual Leprechaun Fun Run on Saturday, April 2nd. +Adult Education Session at Holy Spirit Parish on Tuesday, April. 5th at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Room; The presenter will be Fr. Jordan Samson, and his topic is “’My Yoke is Easy, My Burden Light’ ….Really Lord? Believing Our Faith is Easy”—a great topic for after Easter. There will be time for Q & A after the presentation. +Children’s Grief Program NEW!! A Children's Grief Program directed by Mary Weber begins Thursday, April 7th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Catholic Family Services. +Stress Buster for Caregivers, a 9-week class for caregivers begins Thursday, April 14th at St. Michael Parish. The class runs from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and lunch is included. +Beginning Experience Weekend for those widowed, divorced and separated is designed to allow people to work through the emotions of losing a spouse. Through this weekend many are healed, transformed and freed to love themselves, others and God. The experience is to help close the door gently on the past and move on with renewed hope and purpose. +Grieving the Loss from Suicide: 6 Tuesday evenings (April 19th-May 24th) from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Catholic Family Services. Directed by Dr. Marcie Moran, this non-denominational program is for families who have lost a loved one to suicide. The suddenness of the death, the confusion and the painful reactions are significant topics of the program. Cost= donation. +“Walking Rosary” will be prayed on the first Friday of each month at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Cemetery. Please meet at the altar area. In case of inclement weather, the Rosary will be prayed in the Cemetery Office Conference Room.

Moms with new babies enjoy meeting, socializing and offering support to each other. Guest speakers share their area of interest on topics specific to the first year of baby's life. Our St. Katharine Drexel Parish Vocations Committee invites you to pray for vocations, especially for those in our parish who are considering the vocation of priesthood, religious life, or the permanent diaconate. Please join our Vocations Committee in our Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration for the intention of vocations on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a Rosary for vocations each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m.

The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed in front of Planned Parenthood every
Friday at 3 p.m. Please join other St. Katharine Drexel parishioners as they come together at the hour of mercy to pray for mercy for the clinic employees and the mothers and fathers who have chosen abortion.Please join us at the Planned Parenthood Clinic every Friday and Sunday at 3 p.m. to pray for an end to abortion. Prayer makes a difference!


St. Katharine Drexel Parish serves supper at the St. Francis House (1301 E. Austin St.) on the 3rd Friday evening of each month. Four people are needed to come at 5:30 p.m. to help make and serve supper and 3 people are needed to bake goodies for dessert. The sign-up sheets for April-June are available in the Gathering Space.
